Oregon is likely to face fewer big wildfires this summer than in previous
years, but a lack of rural housing, coupled with unstable and often low pay,
continues to create firefighter workforce challenges across the state and
region.

This Australian wildfire data is interesting. Not as many hot days. Fewer
wildfires. Increasing rainfall. Imagine the outcry about CO2 back in
1905,1928,1929,1938,1940,1944 and 1972. Dry! Then again, it is mostly a desert.

Such great news for California to get all this snow in March! More snow, fewer
wildfires, baby! Same goes for us up north in Oregon, where the Cascades are
getting lots of snow too.
