Breaking news concerning the line fire. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department has arrested an arson
suspect accused of sparking the massive blaze that continues to grow tonight.
The suspect has been identified as 34 year old Justin Wayne Halstonberg of Norco. He's being held on $80,000
bail.
The fast moving fire has burned more than 32,000 acres with only 14% containment. Evacuations are in place
for several communities southwest of the fire in case the winds turn.
And we are learning that numerous homes have been lost in the running Springs area. More than 2000
firefighters have been braving the heat and rugged terrain to protect the more than 65,000 structures
threatened by the flames.
Governor Gavin Newsom has also announced that the California National Guard will support the state's ongoing
response.
