The answer is (for the hard of thinking):

It's not the same "shit" if one person did it inadvertently and the 
other did it wilfully.

There were some number far less than Trump took, and either legitimately 
taken and forgotten over the course of many years or inadvertently taken 
at the end of his term as VP.

At the time they were FOUND he was not aware he had them.

You're the one trying to spin that keeping something accidentally 
because you'd forgotten you had it is the same as:

Taking hundreds of documents quite deliberately when you know your term 
is up...

...and then denying you had them.
