The number 6 million is a gross exaggeration. Not even the jews claim
that number entered the camps. War is a terrible thing and jews were
spared the horrors of the battlefield, where the number of dead is in
the scores of millions. Yes, conditions in these camps were harsh and
there were a few loose cannons who committed atrocities, but the
majority of crimes were committed by the kapos (jewish overseers).
Germans tried to shield the jews from the scourge of warfare and the
thanks they get is accusations of a "Holocaust".
