Yup.  And I happened to see the Producers on Broadway when Nathan Lane
delivered that line to Matthew Broderick while trying to make him break
character.

Because as he was bellowing the famous line:

“Never put your own money into your show!

 He went off script, added to it … that is FORBIDDEN!”

…and also did a grand hand gesture pointing up & out - directly at the
theater across the street.  

That’s where Rosie O’Donnall’s show ‘Forbidden’ was playing.

The audience roared …
… because they knew all that Rosie produced that show … 
… and that she used her own money … 
… and that her show was bombing(!)
