Not clear why you're thanking him, because the national average monthly
retail price for gasoline is higher now than prior to Trump's
inauguration ... or election:

Nov 2024: $3.053
Dec 2024: $3.018
Jan 2025: $3.076
Feb 2025: $3.121
Mar 2025: $3.096
Apr 2025: $3.171
And even if you want to look at the weekly averages for the
month-to-date, one gets:
05/05: $3.147
05/12: $3.120
05/19: $3.173
At equal weighting, the above averages to $3.1467, which is down
slightly (-$0.024) from April, but the very latest price shown (5/19) is
actually a shade higher than April's average: not the relief one may
have been hoping for.
