It's a damned shame that it took that jackass to force out PM to do what
many of us have wanted for years. We have to accept that part of the
reason for NATO and its spending requirements it to support the military
industrial complex. I don't think it is any secret that the US expects
to the one seller the arms and equipment. We could go a long way to
meeting our target by recruiting and training enough soldiers to be able
to get boots on the ground in case of a conflict. We could do with more
aircraft and navy vessels and should do our best to build them here or
to source them from Europeans. We should not be buying fifth generation
fighter aircraft from a country whose president has implied they would
be dumbed down.
