If you'd gotten more than an GED you'd have learned that the very reason 
that people use "[sic]" when they quote text is to indicate that the 
error (or other issue) WITH that text is not of their making, but rather 
something that existed in the original text.

"sic" is Latin for "thus"; meaning "it existed thus".
