You can't fire someone because they took maternity leave.  If they did 
that's totally wrong and illegal.

Not a good time for gender changes in shows.  The social and financial 
trend is going the other direction.  People are starved for entertainment 
and they are willing to pay for it.  Look at some of the shows at the box 
office lately, some surprises there.
