That "wasted funds" is invariably selective and disingenuous:
AFAIC, its a dog whistle that's saying what they don't want to admit:
"money being appropriated through the democratic processes of government
by our elected representatives which I don't personally agree with".
That attitude is childish and immature: real adults understand the
realities of trade-offs in life.
