Its similar to the RFKjr voodoo medicine bit, such as the tirade on how 
supposedly deadly thimerosal is as a vaccine preservative, because it 
has mercury in it

They base that on how we know that some seafood (swordfish, albacore 
tuna) can cause some health problems in a segment of the population 
because of the relatively slow rate that methylmercury is eliminated 
from the body (half-life of 19 days).

But the claim's problem is that thimersol doesn't contain methylmercury.

If thimersol is present (it often isn't) it employs ethylmercury, a 
different chemical compound; its half-life is just 3-7 days.
