4 people actually; plus the pilot.
For up to 100 mile (with a reserve of 50 miles).
Takes off vertically.
Is MUCH quieter than helicopters; quieter than conventional light aircraft.

Think "air taxi":
'Santa Cruz, CA, and Dubai, UAE, Feb 11, 2024 â Joby Aviation, Inc.
(NYSE:JOBY), a company developing all-electric aircraft for commercial
passenger service, today announced it has signed a definitive agreement
with Dubaiâs Road and Transport Authority (RTA) to launch air taxi
services in the Emirate by early 2026, with Joby targeting initial
operations as early as 2025.'
From the Manhattan Heliport to JFK is a 45 minute drive (checked right
now on a Sunday), but as the crow flies, it about 12.5 miles.
That takes less than 4 minute at the Joby's cruising speed of 200mph, so
even adding 5 minutes at each end for takeoff and landing, etc., that's
still 1/3 of the time.
And battery technology is getting better all the time.
