Indeed.
Drag queens have been around since Roman times and literally the beginning of time itself.
Those who were interested that that alternative lifestyle supported it and those who were not ignored
it.
Having grown up in NYC during the 70's I saw plenty of queens in the clubs and you
know something, nobody cared.
Why?
Because they did their thing, played whatever faux part they were into and kept to themselves.
They DID NOT in anyway demand that those not interested in the scene join or accept them.
It was live and let live.
MUCH, MUCH different than today's gay/trans movement.
Especially when it comes to indoctrinating kids.
That simply didn't happen in the 70's.
