Because helicopters are HUGELY expensive to operate.

The cliche about helicopters is that "they're a collection of parts
flying in loose formation".

Electric motors, OTOH, are extremely reliable.

Also, helicopters are slower than the Jobycraft is.

Bell Textron sells a helicopter, the Bell 505 (the most current version
of what used to be called the "Jet Ranger")...

...that is the same as Jobycraft in terms of number of passengers (4 pax
+ 1 pilot) but has a bit higher payload as fuel is lighter than
batteries)...

...but in one area it is way behind the Joby: speed.

It currently USES helicopters, but they don't own any.

And the infrastructure that is used for helicopters is perfectly suited
for electric VTOL aircraft.

As I keep telling you, Blade Air Mobility doesn't own any helicopters,
so all they need to do to make their bases appropriate for Joby's
aircraft is to add charging stations.

That might be a point...

...if they hadn't received $1,144,000,000 (yes: more than a billion
dollars) from Toyota.

They won't have to ask a thing at the heliports that they now own.

And they don't need chargers on every helipad in order to use them just
as they are.

Again, Joby bought a company that owns facilities but doesn't own
helicopters.

I did. But you show that you did, since you're the one making the claims
about which will cost less.
