So put in voter ID, but only if you make it easy and costless for voters to
obtain it:
* state agencies that issue the ID have to be open seven days a week, minimum
15 hours a day, in the three months leading up to an election
* *numerous* such offices have to be available and easily reached from
population centers â no more than 30 minutes by public transportation.
None of this bullshit of *one* office located an hour away from a city
center and only open a few hours a day.
* every effort has to be made, free of charge, to assist prospective voters
in providing proof of citizenship in the event they don't have a copy of
their birth certificate or passport
That last one is very important. I know someone who can't get a certified copy
of her birth certificate because the county records office in the upstate NY
county in which she was born burned down, and there were no off-site copies of
any birth certificates. She's a U.S. citizen, and you cannot deny her the right
to vote because of some accident she didn't cause and over which she had no control.
We know what you're *really* trying to do with this voter ID bullshit. You're
trying to disenfranchise voters whom you don't want voting because you think
they vote the "wrong way" and hurt your cause. Too many Republiscums/QAnon have
already admitted this to try to pretend otherwise.
