All your ROI is based on what Windmills "should" do, whether it's by using models, computers, calculators or simple paper and
pencil.
NONE of that is based on taking initial cost and comparing that to the output of said Windmills.
It's all based on calculations.
Fail.
If they're SOOOOO "profitable"... ???
Here is a list of some wind turbine companies that have declared bankruptcy or become insolvent:
Senvion: A major German wind turbine manufacturer that filed for self-administered insolvency in 2019. Its assets were subsequently
acquired by other companies, including Siemens Gamesa.
Nordex: While Nordex itself did not go bankrupt, its subsidiary, Nordex USA, filed for bankruptcy in 2017 after a major project
failure. The parent company later restructured its U.S. operations.
Gamesa: The Spanish wind company went through a period of severe financial difficulty, though it avoided bankruptcy by merging with
Siemens' wind business in 2017 to form Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.
Ecotricity: The UK renewable energy provider, which once planned to manufacture its own turbines, faced financial difficulties and
abandoned its turbine manufacturing plans. It has not gone bankrupt but represents a notable failure in the sector's supply chain.
DeWind: This German company was a significant wind turbine manufacturer that went through bankruptcy and was later acquired by a
U.S. firm.
Kenetech Windpower: A U.S.-based wind energy company that was a major player in the early 1990s but filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy
in 1996.
Lagerwey: A Dutch wind turbine manufacturer that went bankrupt in 2003 and was later acquired by a German firm.
Soooo efficient and profitable!
