Looks like maybe Disney isn't going to put up with the threats:
'Jimmy Kimmel Live! is not dead. On September 22, Disney announced that
ABCâs long-running late-night franchise will return on Tuesday night,
roughly one week after the show was pulled from the Disney-owned
networkâs lineup in the wake of threats from the head of President
Trumpâs Federal Communications Commission. âLast Wednesday, we made the
decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a
tense situation at an emotional moment for our country,â Disney said in
a statement released around 12:30 p.m. Pacific time on Monday afternoon.
âIt is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were
ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having
thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we
reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.â'

And just in case you're in any doubt about there having been a threat:
'âAbsolutely inappropriate. Brendan Carr has got no business weighing in
on this,â [Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.)] told âMeet the Pressâ moderator
Kristen Welker. His comments were reported by Mediaite.'

'On Friday, US Senate Commerce Committee chair Ted Cruz, a Republican,
said Carrâs threat to fine broadcasters or pull their licences over the
content of their shows was dangerous.'
