Weapons production is the reason we have Chernobyl and Three-mile-Island:
none of our current reactor tech is sufficient to the task of providing
safe, clean nuclear power. It was all designed for *weapons production*
with Civil Power being the "greenwash' used to coverup the misuse of public
funds.

Iran is stepping up to the task at hand: safe, small nukes they can flog
to Africa and elsewhere. These *MUST* be developed in a environment free
of Military-Industrial weapons funding and Iran understands that there
are both need$ and market$ for such a tech. In fact Israel could make
awesome contributions both in tech and finance if they were to partner
with Iran on it. But until they get rid of their nukes and make peace
with the neighbors, that'd just poison any Iranian efforts.
