That's an interesting question. I've always been a moderate who supports some
liberal causes as well as some conservative ones.
I voted for Obama twice because the Republican candidates were John McCain a 
phony RINO and Mitt Romney a completely out of touch with the middle class elitist.

With Clinton it was much the same with the Republicans offering up Bush and Dole (OMG!).

These days, the left/liberals have gone off the rails. They support one loser group, policy
after another and despite being loud in voice, they are bleeding members as people leave
the party do it becoming the party of lunacy.

Another problem the liberals have is that their moldy war chest of talking points
is long past it's "fresh by" date.

We are for the working class where republicans are for the wealthy.
We are for the minorities.
Etc.
The voters have finally figured out that the democrats have been lying to them for decades.

Like I've said before, there is an opening for a moderate democrat who can lead the party
back to common sense and normalcy.
