I was in NYC last week for one day and I couldn't wait to leave.
It has all of the signs of a 3rd world country and is by far the lowest
I have ever seen it sink and that includes the late 70's onward up until
Rudy became mayor.
I will say I did see a decent number of tourists just waiting to get fleeced
but the NYPD was literally all over the place, at least for now, so that will
help.
Still I would advise any non streetwise tourists considering visiting NYC to stay away.
