> Biden Approved National Guard Shooting Suspect's "Special Agent" Status

If the CIA hired an individual in Afghanistan, the process of hiring them as a
"special agent" would likely involve the CIA's Directorate of Operations (DO),
WHICH IS RESPONSIBLE for conducting human intelligence operations overseas.

The specific individual or entity responsible for hiring the agent would
likely be:

1.) A CIA Station Chief or their deputy, who oversees CIA operations in a
specific country (in this case, Afghanistan)

2.) A CIA Case Officer, who is responsible for recruiting, handling, and
managing foreign nationals as agents

3.) A CIA Operations Officer, who is responsible for planning and executing
operations, including the recruitment and management of agents

These individuals would typically work together to identify, recruit, and
manage foreign nationals as agents, and would be responsible for making
decisions about who to hire and how to utilize them.

In terms of specific titles, the individual responsible for hiring the agent
might be:

A Clandestine Operations Officer (COO)
A Special Activities Officer (SAO)
A Case Officer (CO)

These individuals would work together to evaluate the agent's skills,
experience, and potential, and to determine whether they are suitable for hire
as a "special agent" in country.

=====

Generally, the President is not directly informed of every hiring of a
"special agent" by the CIA, and does not have direct input in the hiring
process.

The CIA's hiring process for special agents, also known as Clandestine
Operations Officers (COOs) or Case Officers (COs), typically involves:

The CIA's Directorate of Operations (DO) identifying a need for a new agent
The DO conducting a thorough evaluation and vetting process, including
background checks and psychological assessments
The CIA's Office of Personnel Security and the Office of Medical Services
reviewing the candidate's suitability for the role

The final decision to hire a special agent is typically made by the CIA's
senior leadership, including the:

Director of the CIA
Deputy Director of the CIA
Chief of the Directorate of Operations

While the President may be briefed on high-level CIA operations and strategic
objectives, they are not typically involved in the day-to-day hiring decisions
of individual agents.

However, it's worth noting that the President may be informed of certain high-
profile or sensitive hiring decisions, particularly if they involve:

High-risk operations
High-profile targets
Significant resource commitments

In these cases, the President or their National Security Adviser may be
briefed on the hiring decision, but this is not typically the case for routine
hiring of special agents.

"Trump Derangement Syndrome" Is a Real Mental Condition

All you need to know about "Trump Derangement Syndrome," or TDS.

"Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is a mental condition in which a person has
been driven effectively insane due to their dislike of Donald Trump, to the
point at which they will abandon all logic and reason."

Justin Raimondo, the editorial director of Antiwar.com, wrote a piece in the
Los Angeles Times in 2016 that broke TDS down into three distinct phases or
stages:

"In the first stage of the disease, victims lose all sense of proportion. The
president-elect's every tweet provokes a firestorm, as if 140 characters were
all it took to change the world."

"The mid-level stages of TDS have a profound effect on the victim's
vocabulary: Sufferers speak a distinctive language consisting solely of
hyperbole."

"As TDS progresses, the afflicted lose the ability to distinguish fantasy from
reality."

The Point here is simple: TDS is, in the eyes of its adherents, the knee-jerk
opposition from liberals to anything and everything Trump does. If Trump
announced he was donating every dollar he's ever made, TDS sufferers would
suggest he was up to something nefarious, according to the logic of TDS.
There's nothing - not. one. thing. - that Trump could do or say that would be
received positively by TDSers.

The history of Trump Derangement Syndrome actually goes back to the early
2000s - a time when the idea of Trump as president was a punch line for late-
night comics and nothing more.

Wikipedia traces its roots to "Bush Derangement Syndrome" - a term first
coined by the late conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer back in 2003.
The condition, as Krauthammer defined it, was "the acute onset of paranoia in
otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency - nay -
the very existence of George W. Bush."
