Bu ... bu ... but BIDEN hasn't been President since JANUARY!

Um, not quite. The inflation rate came back down but prices have not.

I just paid 1.99 a carton for large eggs 18pack on sale at Kroger.
Regular price his been around $3 for some time now.
Milk has been $2/gal for years.

And down 75% from March. This is no credit to Trump. This is down to
the anti flu programs that still existed until Trump canceled them
this spring.
>> The price of milk has been coming down since before Trump was elected.
Around here it's been within a quarter of $3/gal for at least the past
two years. Milk is heavily US subsidized *and* a popular loss leader
for grocery stores.

Which has little to do with egg prices. Eggflation has been driven by
multiple waves of avian flu. One of Musk's cost cuts was to eliminate
farm animal vaccination and epidemic containment programs through HHS
and USDA. This turned out to be one of many federal groups the
administration had to hurry up and hire back.
Btw, Bessent complains about sickness in US herds coming from south of
the border.
This is because Trump canceled the US program that subsidized
vaccination and containment for herds in Mexico south to Argentina.

Now, all that said, inflation is up since Biden left and so is
unemployment. Americans are more unhappy about the economy now than
they were when they voted for Trump a year ago.

Go figure.
