"National gas prices have fallen below $3 per gallon, the lowest
average in four years, according to a recent analysis.
On Nov. 28, GasBuddy, the gas price tracking app, announced gas prices
fell to their lowest since May 2021. Averages were $2.99 at the pump
as of Nov. 29, according to the app's online tracker.
That's good news for Americans driving during the holiday season.
We havent seen the national average fall this low in over four
years, and the speed and breadth of the decline are remarkable,"
Patrick De Haan, GasBuddys head of petroleum analysis, said in a
statement. "Every single state has seen relief at the pump over the
past week, a rare feat that underscores how challenging the
fundamentals are for gasoline prices right now."
